IT is all change at a young people's project in Redcar.
OK4, which was set up in 1992, is changing its name to The Junction and undergoing a revamp of its services and premises.
Temporarily, the young people's advice centre has been housed in the Coatham Memorial Hall, but now moves to a new base at 19 Station Road, which has been decorated and refurbished.
The new centre will also be home to Nightstop, which provides emergency accommodation in volunteers' homes, and Smartmove, a bond guarantee scheme for young people.
The Junction is staffed by four employees and ten volunteers and will provide information, support, counselling and resources for the under-25s and is aimed at helping young people to consider their options at what can be a difficult time in their lives.
The improved service has been set up thanks to a three-year grant of almost £180,000 from the Community Fund.
From Tuesday, November 27, the centre will be open from Tuesday to Friday, between noon and 7pm.
