VISITORS to a forest were greeted by dozens of bright eyes and bushy tails as a major competition came to the region at the weekend.
The Siberian Husky Club of Great Britain staged its dog sled rally in Cropton Forest, near Pickering, North Yorkshire - attracting both enthusiasts and the simply curious.
The pure-bred sled dogs could be returning for another Yorkshire rally next year after a successful weekend, which saw more than 80 teams from across the country taking part.
The club's popularity is steadily growing - the rally in Cropton Forest in 1999 attracted just 60 teams - and members are now gearing up for the biggest event in the UK, which takes place in Aviemore, Scotland, in January
