GEORDIE singer Sting is reported to be adding to his string of homes by showing an interest in a £1m penthouse overlooking the River Tyne.
And one of his neighbours would be fellow North-East rocker Jimmy Nail.
The flat, a redeveloped printworks in his native Newcastle, has sweeping views of the High Level, Tyne and Millennium bridges and attracted publicity last month after it was the focus of the region's first £1m flat purchase by an unidentified businessman.
The 19th Century building houses 48 loft apartments, including eight duplex penthouses with roof gardens.
Sting owns homes in California, New York, Florence, London and Wilthshire, but developers behind the Newcastle conversion remained discreet about their newest tenants last night.
Alex Hutchinson, of Northern Land, said: "Geordies linked with the Turnbull building include Sting and Jimmy Naill. We are sworn to secrecy.
