THE line-up for the national radio current affairs debate Any Questions? broadcast live this week from the North-East, has been confirmed.

Durham Union Society's debating chamber on Palace Green, between the city's cathedral and castle, stages the BBC Radio 4 programme discussing the issues of the day, on Friday.

Liberal Democrat Jenny Tonge has been added to the previously published guest list, which also includes Labour Party chairman Charles Clarke, former Scottish Secretary in the last Conservative Government, Lord Forsyth and columnist Simon Jenkins, of The Times newspaper.

A few tickets remain available for anyone who would like to join the audience in the debating chamber.

They can be obtained, free of charge, from the Tourist Information Centre, in the Market Place, Durham, or from the city library, in South Street.

Any Questions? goes out live after the 8pm news and runs for 45 minutes, although audience members are asked to arrive earlier.
