YOUNGSTERS in east Cleveland have turned planning a school playground, into child's play.
Pupils at Skelton Junior School submitted their own designs for the layout of their playground and are being fully consulted on the project, and involved in the practical work.
They have painted sports pitches on the surface of the playground and made large draughts boards from moulds, with the help of construction students from Redcar and Cleveland College.
They are also making clock hands and numbers for a wall display and mosaics, as well as helping adults build walls and seating and to landscape the area
