Tow Law Bass - In the top of the table clash Newhouse Club were able to strengthen their lead at the top after they beat the visiting second placed, Esh Stag's Head by three points.
After the trebles were shared, the home side had singles wins from Dave Thornton, Bill Jones, Tom McQuillan and John Gilchrist. The Stag's replied with wins from David Platt and Tom March. The home side completed their victory by taking two of the three doubles.

Willington Black Horse Inn lost their first match of the season when they were just beaten at home by the Prospect Club, who move to the top of the table. The home side had singles wins from Shaun Parkinson, Paul Allchurch and Paul Hutchinson with the Prospect replying through Trevor Allchurch, Geoff Maddison and John Glasper.
The home side edged ahead with a doubles win from Chris Brown and Shaun Parkinson but the Prospect replied through Paul Morris with John Glasper and Neil Foster with Geoff Maddison. The Black Horse Inn took the captain's game and the Prospect took the deciding team game when they finished in 36 darts.
There were maximums from Lyndon Taylor of Willington Burn and Geoff Maddison of the Prospect. The best check out of the week was the 118 finish by Alan Beck of the Victoria Club.

Crook Queen's Head made a great three points home win over the visiting second placed, Tow Law New Market B to move up to share the potential runners-up spot. However neither side have much chance of catching Crook Coach and Horses, who are 52 points clear.
The singles were shared at the Queen's Head but then the home side moved ahead when they won the doubles by the odd point. They clinched their good victory by winning the team game, which carries double points. This result moves these two teams nine points clear of Crook Travellers Rest.
