A Guisborough building site manager has been voted top builder in the North.
Eric Rowe, of McLean Homes North East Ltd, won the NHBC (National House Building Council) award for the large category in the regional round of the 2001 Pride In The Job Campaign. The award recognises the quality shown in building new homes for the Regency Gardens Development on Church Walk, Guisborough.
Rod MacEachrane, commercial director of NHBC, said: "The desire to produce good quality work is motivating in itself and the Pride In The Job competition is an added incentive. It plays a key part in NHBC's drive to raise standards and promote best practice house building. To get this far, out of 17,000 UK site managers, is a phenomenal achievement and a testament to the skill and dedication of the winners.
