FILM buffs are offering a treat to digitabulists across the region, as they raise extra cash for a tiny volunteer-run cinema.
A box of 300 aluminium thimbles, dating back to the 1930s, has been presented to the Ritz Cinema, in Thirsk.
And bosses are hoping that collectors will snap up the colourful keepsakes, which each come with an enamel band embossed with the words Ritz, Thirsk.
The thimble sale was made possible by a donation from a local woman, whose family owned the cinema in the 1930s.
The thimbles come with a presentation box, certificate of authenticity and background history.
They are available at £5.99 each, or £20 for a set containing all four colours, and can be bought by writing to the Ritz Cinema Volunteers Group, 16 Westgate, Thirsk, YO7 1QS.
