Runners in the North-East are being invited to train with the athlete Kelly Holmes.
They can also attend a knees-up and enjoy a free massage, but there is a catch.
To qualify, they have to volunteer to run the London Marathon, in April, and raise £1,200 or more for the NSPCC children's charity.
Luen Halewood, corporate manager for the NSPCC, said: "The athlete Kelly Holmes has kindly agreed to be NSPCC marathon patron, and will attend a training day to offer advice and encouragement to runners.
"We are also able to help with fundraising support. Runners and their families are invited to the NSPCC's post-event party. They can even receive a free and much-needed massage."
To apply, contact Luen Halewood, NSPCC, Horton House, Southlink Business Park, Oldham, OL1 1DE.
