A Hartlepool United fan's loyalty to the club paid off as it won him a trip to see what life is like in the premiership.

Educational consultant Peter Wilkinson's loyalty won him a competition organised by telephone and Internet betting company Bet365.

The 53-year-old, of Hesley Rise, Stainton, Barnard Castle, County Durham, was one of four Bet365 customers to win a pair of tickets for an executive box at St James' Park to watch Newcastle United play Derby County.

The winners met Newcastle manager Bobby Robson before the match as part of their prize, which also included travel expenses and accommodation at the Marriott Gosforth Park Hotel.

They were all selected in a prize draw organised by SportsClub365, a loyalty club set up by Bet365 for its customers and supported by Bobby Robson.

Peter took his son, Ian, with him to the match and enjoyed the opportunity to see a premiership match, but only because Hartlepool weren't playing that day.
