A PET-loving girl has won the purr-fect prize of a year's free supply of cat food.
Helen Peebles, 11, from Hemlington, Middlesbrough, picked up second prize in a competition run by the Co-op and Warner Brothers to tie in with the film Cats and Dogs.
Entrants had to vote for who they wanted to rule the world - cats or dogs - and, being a cat lover, Helen, a pupil at Hemlington Hall School, opted for her favourite animal.
Now her own three cats - Fluffy, Mickey and Tilly, are certain to be well-fed. Overall in the poll, dogs came out best, attracting 10,041 votes, compared with 6,599 for cats.
