THE Prince of Wales will be spending a day in North Yorkshire next month to meet some of the people affected by the foot-and-mouth crisis.
On December 17 he will be in Knayton, near Thirsk, meeting farmers, businesses and other representatives of the rural community who were affected by the disease.
His trip to the county will begin in the morning when he pays a call to the auction mart at Skipton.
Later he will visit Stainforth near Settle, as president of Business in the Community, to launch the Pub is the Hub guide as part of the BiTC's Rural Action initiative.
