Students have been researching the issue of teenage pregnancy.
They discovered that Wear Valley has the highest rate of teenage pregnancy in County Durham, and one of the highest rates in Europe.
The group of five boys and four girls developed a Theatre in Education piece that raised the profile of the issues at the heart of the problem.
The group have been booked by the Health Authority, Youth for Europe and eight secondary schools to perform their work.
BBC Radio 4 invited two of the group, Daniel Wales and Lindsay Coglan, to London to be interviewed on The Learning Curve.
All the students involved will receive an award for their work at the school's prize-giving next month
