Bishop Auckland Derby snatched the League Knock-out Cup with a dramatic last frame finish in the match against Henknowle Manor House played at Bishop Auckland Football Club.
The ten singles were shared when Paul Willey won two and Kevin Stewart, Stephen Lowther and Chris Peacock one each for the Derby, whilst Ron Wright took two with John Collinson, Martin Armstrong and Peter Merner adding one each for the Manor.
The Derby edged into the lead when Michael Richardson and Paul Willey won the doubles, but Peter Merner beat Chris Peacock in the first captain's game to level the scores. In the deciding frame Chris Peacock left himself a very awkward back over double to the middle pocket but he brought cheers from teammates and supporters when the black went in.

Riverside Car Sales Singles League
AWilson, who is second from bottom of 20 players, has hit his best ever result in his pool career against one of Darlington and Cleveland's top pool players, Mark Bean.
Bean, who is in fourth place in the league and has had four 6-0 wins this season, could not find any form against Andy Wilson. Bean caught him at the wrong time, as Wilson went 3-0 up then went from strength to strength and won the next three frames to run out with a 6-0 whitewash.
After this match, Bean found his form and hit two very good wins. First Mark whitewashed a shocked Dave Robinson 6-0. Then he went on to defeat Gary Nicholson 5-1 after leading the match 2-1.
Top of the table clash was between Steve Woodier and Tony Kay. Woodier started very well with Kay breaking off and failing to pot. This let in Steve who hit an eight-ball finish.
Then with the match at 2-2, Steve won the fifth frame with another eight-baller to lead 3-2. In the last frame Woodier missed the clearance to let in Kay who took control of the frame receiving two shots. He cleared the table up to the black still having two shots, only to miss the black to let in Woodier who pinched the frame and the match 4-2.
Stuart Richardson came back down to earth after stopping Woodier's 73 match unbeaten run in his match with Kevin Pigott. With the first four frames shared and the match at 2-2, Pigott went on to win the next frame to lead 3-2. In the last frame Pigott was a bit fortunate when Richo had two shots, potted a red and trying to move out another red only for it to land safe - then miss. He then let in Kevin who potted a very difficult last yellow with the white going anywhere on the table only to land perfect on the black, to win the match 4-2.
Richo was under pressure in his next match against Michael Gray after Richo led the match 2-1. Gray came back to win the next two frames to lead 3-2 but Richo held on for a point in winning the last frame for a 3-3 draw.
Michael Gray had two very good 5-1 wins after his excellent performance against Richo. First Gray defeated John Atkinson after trailing 1-0. Then also won 5-1 against Andy Wilson again trailing 1-0.
Stuart Richardson bounced back after his defeat and draw to demolish Lee Ward 5-1. Richo hit eight-ballers in frames one, four and five.
Dave Robinson had a 4-2 win over Gary Nicholson but was then upset when he was defeated 5-1 by Paul Burke after Robbo won the first frame then in his match with Eddie Mooney trailed 2-0 then led 3-2 but Mooney won the last frame for a 3-3 draw.
Eddie Mooney then went on to defeat Chris Dobbs 5-1, but was then defeated by an in-form Andrew Koulias who is having his best season to date. Andrew led 1-0 then 3-1. Mooney won frame five for 3-2 but Koulias held on to win the last frame for a 4-2 win.
Andrew then had a 3-3 draw with Gary Nicholson with Koulias leading 3-1. Lee Ward defeated John Atkinson 4-2 after trailing 2-1.
Joe Manicina came out an easy 5-1 winner win a grudge match with his teammate Mark Klyman.
Placings: Woodier 11-30; Richo 11-28; Kay 11-27; Bean 12-22; Pigott 9-22; Ward 12-18.
