VISITORS to Darlington College of Technology this weekend will be able to see a host of model railway layouts from all over the country .
The college, in Cleveland Avenue, is playing host to a major exhibition organised by Darlington Model Railway Club.
The exhibition features 11 layouts including a 7mm 'O' gauge called The Burtree by the Darlington club, a living steam layout from the Edinburgh club and Railhead 1944, a depiction of the Normandy railhead after the Allied landings of June 1944, plus Darlington's regular Thomas the Tank Engine layout.
This is the Darlington Model Railway Club's annual event and it will also feature a selection of traders selling model railway equipment and rolling stock.
Admission fees are £2.50 for adults, £1.50 for pensioners and £1 for children.
The exhibition is open from 10am to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday
