COUNCILLORS are being asked to approve plans for landscaping work at Manor College and Brierton Secondary School in Hartlepool.
Part of the Owton Rossmere Single Regeneration Budget programme, the project involves a landscape architect working with seven schools to advise on the design of their grounds in an attempt to increase their educational value.
Work has been completed at Golden Flatts Primary School, St Teresa's RC Primary School, Grange School and Rossmere Primary School.
At Owton Manor primary School, a fencing and planting scheme and a wildflower meadow have been completed and an artwork project and living willow maze are being undertaken.
The work proposed for Manor College will include refurbishment of a central courtyard into an eco-garden.
It is planned to improve an enclosed area at the rear of Brierton School for quiet recreation and study.
Hartlepool Borough Council's regeneration board meets on Tuesday to discuss the plans.
