A VOLUNTEER project has set up a new branch of its drama group in a Newton Aycliffe school.
The Biosphere Theatre Company, which was established by the Millennium Volunteers group, has moved into Greenfield Community and Arts College.
The company has been operating in Darlington for five months. It recently staged an anti-bullying production.
Rebecca Severi, who set up the project when she was a Millennium Volunteer, is now hoping to establish the project in the Newton Aycliffe area.
She said: "Early in the New Year we'll be starting to rehearse for a new production, involving young people from the school and surrounding area."
The project will begin on Wednesday, January 16, and organisers are looking for anyone between the ages of 16 and 24 to be actors, directors, writers, stage managers and technicians.
People outside the age group can still help by offering to work as a project leader.
Contact the company at Newton Aycliffe Learning Shop, on Thursday, from 2pm to 4pm, or call 0790 3013652.
