A MAN was tricked out of more than £100 by a woman and a girl offering palm readings and "lucky" heather for sale.
The 35-year-old was one of a number of residents in the West End area of Sedgefield visited by the pair on Thursday lunchtime.
As he searched through a money tin, the woman, thought to be in her 40s, and the girl, believed to be in her mid-teens, "bamboozled" him out of £130.
The woman is thought to have light brown or blonde hair. The girl had her hair in a ponytail.
Anybody who has any information is urged to call Detective Sergeant Bob McKay at Newton Aycliffe police station on (01325) 314401 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
