IT will be eyes down and curtain up for three voluntary organisations in Darlington which have been given a share of £500 by the borough council.
The latest council payout brings the total given to voluntary groups and individuals this year to almost £15,000.
The latest to benefit are local theatre group Back from the Brink, which received £200, Hurworth and District Over-60s Club, and the Sir ED Walker Homes Good Will Club, which both received £150.
The money will be used for costumes and equipment for the newly-formed theatre group, based at Northlands Methodist Church, in North Road.
This will enable them to introduce children to the performing arts, as well as staging productions.
Bingo, outings and social events will be on the cards for members of the Hurworth and District Over 60s Club, who will be buying a numbers machine with their money.
The ED Walker Homes Good Will Club will use the cash for outings, entertainment, afternoon teas and Christmas lunches.
Darlington Childminders Group, Branksome Community Association Playscheme and Music For Darlington, are amongst the other groups and individuals to benefit.
