HISTORY buffs are just a bus ride away from being let in on the secrets of the Lindisfarne Gospels.
Alex Nelson, who runs Chester-le-Track, Chester-le-Street's independent train station, has put on a bus to take people to a talk on the ancient manuscripts by expert Dr Michelle Brown at Ashington's Woodhorn Colliery Museum, on Tuesday, December 11.
Chester-le-Track has laid on a bus which will leave the town's South Burn at 10am.
Tickets cost £5 and are available from the station, on 0191-3871387. The price includes a guided walk under the River Tyne through the pedestrian tunnel
