Cash gifts from a kind-hearted company in Thornaby will mean young people in long-term care in children's homes in the borough of Stockton can enjoy Christmas.
More than £1,000 worth of gifts, including mountain bikes, PlayStations and bar football games have been donated by Armstrong Flooring.
The company has a charity budget with a committee which delegates the funds to needy causes.
One of the members, Paul Marley, who made the suggestion, is a foster carer, and it was decided the money should go to local children in long-term homes.
Denise Tidswell, from the company, said: "We are delighted to be able to make this an extra special Christmas for these youngsters and we wanted to ensure it was local children who would benefit from our charity fund."
