A HOST of stars will be taking to the stage for a glittering afternoon of songs and showbiz magic in Hartlepool next week.
The array of famous faces, including Diana Ross, Tina Turner and the Beverley Sisters, will be played by Hartlepool Borough Council's sheltered housing wardens.
The event is part of their traditional Christmas extravaganza, which they organise for people living in the council's sheltered housing.
About 600 residents have bought tickets for the annual party, which takes place on Monday at the Mayfair complex, in Seaton Carew.
As well as singing along with the Meet the Stars performance, the residents will also tuck in to a three-course Christmas lunch
