NORTH Yorkshire fare was on the menu last week for leading local government figures.
More than 250 delegates from councils across England came to the county for the national county council network conference, held at the Royal Hotel, Scarborough.
Along with attending a series of workshops and debates, the council leaders and chief executives were treated to trips to North Yorkshire beauty spots and meals made from locally produced fare.
Coun Eileen Bosomworth, a member of North Yorkshire County Council and leader of Scarborough Borough Council, was the guest speaker at the formal conference dinner.
And the delegates all took a slice of North Yorkshire home with them. They each received an information pack with details of the county's tourism venues and hotels, as well as a complimentary Wensleydale cheese from the Wensleydale Creamery at Hawes
