A PUB charity is to help keep alive the memory of a cancer victim.
The Old Station Inn, in Tow Law, is due to embark on a day of fundraising today, in memory of former resident Sylvia Lang, who died several months ago.
A framed poster of Sunderland AFC's Stadium of Light, signed by chairman Bob Murray and manager Peter Reid, will be among items to be auctioned.
Several brave men will be lining up for a sponsored head shave and chest wax, and there will be a karaoke and disco.
Proceeds from the event will go towards medical equipment to treat cancer patients in their own homes.
Landlord Sean Kenny said: "One in three people are touched by cancer, so it's a very worthwhile cause.
"People who live in rural areas often have to travel great distances to be treated, which isn't always easy. The equipment we are raising money for allows them to receive some treatment in their own homes."
To donate prizes to the auction, or take part in the fund-raising, contact Mr Kenny on (01388) 730433.
