Five people arrested in connection with the death of a man more than a year after he was hurt in a pub fracas, have been released on police bail.
Kevin Pharoah, 49, of Leam Lane, Gateshead, died in October after an epileptic fit. He had developed epilepsy after a disturbance at the Fret and Fiddler pub, at Sunniside, near Gateshead, in January last year.
The five, arrested on suspicion of being involved in assault and violent disorder, have been bailed until January 28 and 29.
