POLICE want to find thieves who made off with a mini-tractor and grass cutter worth more than £20,000 in total.
Thieves scaled the walls of a Sunderland City Council parks division compound in Doxford Park, in the city, between Thursday night and yesterday morning.
They stole a tree chopper, a Green Mech Chip Master 202, with chassis number 850K worth £13,000 and a grass cutting mini-tractor a green John Deere 455 all-wheel steer worth £8,000 with registration number Y106 EVK.
Police believe the thieves used a large vehicle to take the equipment away.
