A REDCAR primary school is to get a special adult education centre to help parents learn at the same time as their children.
Greengates Primary School, which serves the Lakes Estate, has been successful in getting a Local Learning Centre, which will contain meeting rooms and a technology suite in a bid to get parents back into the classroom.
Headteacher Henry Skene said: "It is a chance for parents to add to their learning, while their children add to their's in school. We are absolutely over the moon as it is something the area has needed for a long time."
The centre will be funded by the local education authority but has also been supported by Enron. It is hoped it will be ready to open its doors at the start of the next academic year, in September next year.
