MILITARY and civilian bands will top the bill at a musical extravaganza celebrating the Queen's Golden Jubilee.
The concert, next month, will take the audience on a musical journey from the Yorkshire Dales to the Scottish lowlands.
The Alanbrooke Jubilee Concert is being organised by 40 Regiment Royal Artillery (The Lowland Gunners), who have been based at Alanbrooke Barracks, Topcliffe, near Thirsk, since 1998.
Those taking part will include the Royal Artillery Band, the Regimental Pipes and Drums, York Male Voice Choir and other local bands.
Those attending the show will include the Lord Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, Lord Crathorne, and the Lord Provost of Glasgow, Lord Home, whose clan tartan the regiment wears.
Charities to benefit from the show, on January 29, include the special baby unit at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton.
Anyone wishing to book in advance can contact Captain Amba Tyson on (01748) 875235.
