ABOUT £800,000 is to be spent on projects in the North York Moors National Park next year.
The schemes, backed by the park authority, include £250,000 on targeting economic opportunities through industrial heritage projects, moorland conservation, river management, diversification enterprise and farm and rural community schemes.
Also, £160,000 is to be targeted on promoting products made in the park, enhancing villages, helping to restore listed buildings which are at risk, promoting and protecting wildlife and preserving traditional building skills.
Further cash will be spent on public transport and removing cultural and physical barriers to enable more people to enjoy the park.
