A SANTA Special bus service has been organised to help people with mobility problems do their Christmas shopping.
Teesdale Access Bus has added an extra service to its twice-weekly runs to shopping centres to take people to the farmers' Christmas market at Barnard Castle on Saturday. It will run a morning and afternoon journey on three routes between Greta Bridge and Ovington, Middleton-in-Teesdale and Mickleton, and Ingleton and Evenwood.
The fare for all journeys is £1 return, with the first bus leaving Greta Bridge at 9.30am and the last one leaving Barnard Castle at 4.30pm. Places are limited in the wheelchair-accessible bus. Places can be booked by contacting Karen Muse on 0191-386 7148.
