THE quality of care given by the community health team at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton has been officially recognised.
The elderly patients' team has been recognised as a practice development unit by the Institute of Nursing at Leeds University.
The recognition is the culmination of four years of work by the team and a plaque will be unveiled in the mental health unit's reception next week by director of nursing Pat Martin.
The senior nurse for mental health, Kevin Stubbings, said: "This is a fantastic achievement for everyone concerned.
