A FOOTBALL club is to help young, unemployed people reach new goals.
Middlesbrough Football Club has joined forces with BT and Stockton and Billingham College for a 15-week course aimed at improving the literacy, numeracy, computer and employability skills of young, jobless people and disillusioned adults.
Personal fitness and lifestyle advice will be included in the course which will use football as a tool.
Michael Glenn, the Boro's education co-ordinator, said: "We are very excited about the opportunities this project affords for the personal and educational development of adults and young people within Teesside.
