PUPILS from a Durham prep school have brought Christmas cheer to youngsters in hospital.
A group of 24 choir boys, from Bow School, in South Road, visited youngsters on the children's ward at the city's University Hospital of North Durham.
They performed carols, accompanied by pianist Christine Hammill.
Their repertoire also included two songs from the musical, Joseph and his Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, and two of the choir's own carols.
The school's head of music, Mary Tyers said: " Performing out in the community is always a highlight for the boys who put a lot of effort into their rehearsals and choice of songs.
"We try to perform two or three times a year, which always includes the children's ward at the local hospital, as well as Hallgarth Nursing Home, which we will be visiting in the New Year.''
