Darlington Borough Council staff are being invited to sample alcohol-free cocktails as part of a Healthy Workplace initiative.
The sessions are taking place at lunchtimes on selected dates this month.
Staff can also find out more about road safety and sensible drinking, including how to calculate alcohol intake units.
Councillor Stephen Harker, the council cabinet member for public protection, said: "The cocktail parties will give staff the chance to enjoy a free drink and a bite to eat, while at the same time finding out more about how they can enjoy the party season safely."
The event has been organised by the council's healthy workplace steering group and road safety section, Darlington Primary Care Group and the Health Promotion Service
