A VARIETY of events have been lined up at Hartlepool's central library in the run-up to Christmas.
Craft events for children and adults will be held on Sunday, between 12pm and 3pm. Youngsters will be able to make Christmas cards under the guidance of Hartlepool Borough Council museum staff. Adult education service experts will be demonstrating how to make crafts during a session for adults called Silk Paper on Glass.
There will be a festive theme on Thursday, when pupils from St Hilda's School provide music and song at the library from 11am. On the same day, the Belgian barrel organ will play from 2pm.
On Saturday, December 29, visitors can listen again to the barrel organ, at 11am, and, at 2pm, the Hartlepool Stage Society Choral Group perform their repertoire of Christmas songs and carols.
The festivities end on Sunday, December 30, when a children's craft session takes place between 12pm and 3pm. Youngsters will be making a calendar, as well as a Jack Frost figure.
All the events are free and there is no need to book. For further information contact (01429) 272905
