THE story following the journey of the Grumpy Sheep as it travels to see the infant Jesus has been brought to life by primary school pupils.
Children from St Andrew's Primary School, Henknowle, near Bishop Auckland, took to the stage for two matinee performances of the Nativity play.
The youngsters performed their play to sell out audiences on Wednesday and Thursday, with Callum Liddle, four, starring as the Grumpy Sheep, Stephanie Buckley, four, as Mary, and Jorden Maughan, also four, playing the role of Joseph.
Teachers Lisa Jefferson and Ali Hewitt produced the play and were delighted with its success
