CHERIE Blair is to open a hospital unit in the North-East this week.
The Prime Minister's wife will launch the £330,000 breast unit at the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, Teesside.
Mrs Blair will open the unit at 2.30pm on Thursday.
