A CURRY house is planning to beat its competition by offering to prepare free meals with leftover turkey.
The Capital Indian restaurant, at Claypath, Durham, is running the promotion to use the leftovers of large birds in interesting ways.
Owner Sofed Miah said his chef will cater for everyone's taste. "When people have a big turkey, they get sick of it after Christmas Day," he said.
"They can bring their leftovers and we will make a nice curry for them. Whatever people prefer - hot, medium or mild, our chef will make it."
The offer follows the success of an event last year at Mr Miah's Hartlepool restaurant.
People can take leftover turkey from Boxing Day onward, between noon and 2pm and 6pm and 11.30pm.
