YOUNG artists have been using their creative talents to help sick animals.
Mount Pleasant school held a Christmas card competition to raise funds for Stanhope Park vets, in Darlington.
The veterinary clinic needs to raise £10,000 to buy an endoscope which will help cut the numbers of animals having to have unnecessary operations.
The children were asked to draw pictures that incorporated Christmas and animals.
Chelsi Parkin, 11, Maisie Hood, six, and Ashleigh Walls, nine, had their drawings chosen to feature on the cards, which are being sold at the school.
Their designs are of kittens in snow, reindeers and a cat and mouse in a stocking.
The veterinary surgery has already raised £4,000 towards its target
