ARTISTIC pupils at two Middlesbrough schools have produced some winning designs for a poster competition on the theme of community and home safety for the elderly.
The entries from pupils at Abingdon and North Ormesby primary schools will now be incorporated into a specially printed calendar.
Yesterday, 17 artists received certificates from the Mayor of Middlesbrough, Councillor Pat Walker, before being treated to ice skating at Victoria Gardens.
The competition was judged by representatives from North Ormesby Day Centre, Age Concern, Trinity Anti-Crime Citizen 2000 Project and the Older Persons Partnership Board.
