A FARMER'S wife who was worried about the effects of foot-and-mouth was found hanging in a barn by her husband, an inquest heard.
Recording a verdict of suicide, Coroner John Sleight-holme emphasised there was no hard evidence to prove the crisis had pushed 45-year-old Heather Bowe, of Blewery Grange, Hunton, near Bedale, North Yorkshire, over the edge.
Her husband, David, told the inquest she had been prone to mood swings and headaches, and he said she had appeared upset the evening before her death, on September 2.
