TWO puppies, nicknamed Little and Large, are looking for homes.
Minx, a Jack Russell terrier cross and Buster, a border collie cross, are staying at a foster home until they can be rehoused.
The puppies are eight weeks old and will need homes where they can be given a lot of attention.
Pauline Wilson, from the National Animal Sanctuary Support League in Darlington, said: "Minx is about the same size as one of Buster's paws but he is the real softy.
"What they need is someone who is at home all day or not out for more than two hours at a time.
"These pups need four meals a day and a lot of company when they are this young.
"It is a big commitment and would ideally suit someone who has had a puppy before so they know what it involves."
