YOUNGSTERS with severe learning difficulties have been treated to a Christmas show and a party lunch.
Thirteen pupils from Wellbank School, in Donwell, Washington, visited the town's Galleries shopping centre.
They watched the Christmas Animatronics show, which is being performed in Wessington Square until the end of the month, and features characters such as Rudy and Judy the reindeer.
Afterwards, they were treated to a Christmas party in the centre's McDonald's fast food restaurant.
McDonald's manager Rita Frost said: "It was great to see the children enjoying their party.
"The show and the food made it a really special day for them.
"This time of year is about children enjoying themselves and it was lovely to see their rapt faces when they saw the show. The characters, exciting Christmas theme, complete with snow showers, and the songs really entertained them.'
