Tow Law Bass - Cornsay Royal Oak rejoiced after only their second win of the season but it proved a nail-biter for they were taken to the deciding doubles before edging through against the visiting Hamilton Row Black Horse.
The Horse set the early running when they took both trebles points but then only managed to score one singles point through Pt Elliott. The Oak's singles winners were Tommy Cairns, Ian Truby, Scott Windsor, Stephen Witherspoon and Emma Cairns. The Horse pulled level by taking the first two doubles points but then in the decider Tommy and Emma Cairns beat Col Metcalfe and Barry Sims.
The leading individual scorers were Malcolm Boughey with two 140s for the Cattle Mart, Shaun McGrath, Nigel Humble and Stephen Umpelby 140 each for the New Market B and Jacqueline Hope 139 for the Station.
Newhouse Club lead the table by 12 points with Esh Stag's Head in second place with a match in hand. Tow Law New Market A are 20 points behind Newhouse but have two games in hand.

Crook Coach and Horses recorded their eighth maximum win out their 25 match unbeaten run to move a massive 57 points clear at the top of the table. Their latest victims were their hosts at Crook Olde Horse Shoe. Tow Law New Market B are in a second place and moved five points ahead of Crook Queen's Head when they almost whitewashed their hosts at Willington Commercial.

Ithe top of the table clash, Crook Golden Fleece emphasised their top spot when they only dropped two points to the visiting second placed, Crook Royal Sun. Crook Queen's Head only dropped one point on their visit to Crook King's Head, a result which pushed them up to third place, four points adrift of the Royal Sun.

Willington League
Willington Burn pulled off a great home win over Willington Club, who slipped out of the top four when they only managed to take three points. The Burn had singles wins from Shaun Pardew, Tony Longthorne, Gordon Foster, Lyndon Taylor and Colin Davison with Stephen Hutchinson breaking the duck for the visitors.
The Burn extended their lead when they took the first two doubles through Gordon Foster with Stuart Wayman and Lyndon Taylor with Shaun Pardew. The Club regained some lost prestige when Arthur Goldsborough and Alan Lee took the final doubles. However the Burn took the team game with the Club's Stephen Hutchinson beating Colin Davison in the captain's game.
The Prospect Club bounced back to the top of the table, one points head of Hunwick Joiners Arms, who are one ahead of Willington Black Horse Tavern.
