A 35-YEAR-OLD man was taken to hospital after an accident at an electrical sub-station.
Police and fire crews were called to the incident at the Northern Electric site in Toronto, near Bishop Auckland, last week.
The man, who was working at the station, was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary where he is being treated for burns to his face, chest and arms. His injuries are not life-threatening.
A spokesperson for Northern Electric said the accident had been reported to the Health and Safety Executive but declined to comment further.
