STAFF and patients at the Stead Memorial Hospital, in Redcar, will be getting into the Christmas spirit thanks to the generosity of a local pub.
Staff and patrons at Rosie O'Grady's pub and restaurant in the town centre recently held a raffle to raise money for the hospital and bought a new CD player with the proceeds.
It was presented to the hospital at its annual Christmas coffee morning yesterday.
Sister Linda Dunn, from the hospital, said: "Thanks to the generosity of their staff and customers, our patients will be able to listen to Christmas CDs. It will definitely make for a very happy holiday."
