BUDDING young footballers have the chance to learn more about the game on Christmas coaching courses.
Sunderland FC's coaching staff will be running soccer schools during the festive break for youngsters aged four to 14.
Development officer Bob Oates said: "Our courses cater for everyone, whatever their ability.
"It is a great way for children to get some exercise, make friends and have fun across the Christmas holidays.''
On Thursday and Friday, courses will be held at Framwellgate Comprehensive School, Durham City, and Parkside Comprehensive School, Willington.
On January 2 and 3, the venue will be Southmoor Comprehensive School, in Sunderland.
On Wednesday, January 2, for one day only, a training course will be held at John Spence High School, North Tyneside.
On January 3 and 4, tuition will take place at Biddick Comprehensive School, Washington, and Mortimer Comprehensive School, South Tyneside.
Two-day courses cost £12 each (£10 for members of the junior supporters club, SAFC 24-7). One-day courses cost £6 (£4 for 24-7 members). Paying on the day costs £2 extra.
