Premiership leaders Newcastle United maintained their position at the top by winning a seven-goal classic at Elland Road on Saturday.
A truly great game was won in the 90th minute with the superb Kieron Dyer feeding Nolberto Solano to fire past Nigel Martyn from the edge of the box.
Newcastle took the lead in a pulsating first half on 38 minutes with Dyer breaking down the right and crossing into the path of Bellamy to fire home.
A minute later the home side were level when the recalled Lee Bowyer put his off the field problems behind him to fire home from the edge of the area.
Leeds began the second half like a train. In the 50th minute Viduka put his side ahead before Ian Harte looked like securing all the points with a 25-yard effort.
But Newcastle refused to be beaten with a Robbie Elliott diving header bringing them within a goal of Leeds before a Shearer penalty deservedly drew the Magpies level.
But it was not over then and Solano ended a truly magnificent game by providing the last laugh which kept Bobby Robson's side top.
