HE is one of the best-travelled cuddly toys around, but little Pudsey Bear has now found himself a new home.
The little bear was first bought for Children in Need by Steve Davies, from Hartlepool, who works at RAF Leeming as a driver on XI (Fighter) Squadron.
The squadron took on the task of teaching him to fly and he was duly fitted with his own flying suit and given the rank of Pilot Officer.
Since then, he has had all his flights recorded in an official log book and when Children in Need day came along he was auctioned, along with a VIP day at the base and a trip in a Tornado simulator.
The successful bidder was Jean Dukes, of Stockton, who has now enjoyed a day out at the base to collect her much-travelled bear.
She was also presented with the little bear's log book and an autographed print of one of the Tornado F3 aircraft.
