PEOPLE with special needs should find a visit to the Yorkshire Museum of Farming less of a challenge, thanks to a Country Land and Business Association (CLA) grant.
The £500 donation will be invested in a footpath for the disabled in the Murton Park grounds, near York, making wheelchair access easier, as well as for those with buggies and pushchairs.
The money comes from the CLA's Charitable Trust, set up to help those with disabilities enjoy and learn more about the countryside.
Regional director Dorothy Fairburn said: "CLA members are well aware of the pleasures of the countryside, but it is easy to take them for granted when living there and able-bodied. While the CLA's charity relies on donations from its members and sponsorship, it makes grants totalling around £60,000 a year.''
